What an incredible response to the kickoff of our BRAND NEW Series “Next!” We’ve been so encouraged to hear how God is moving in new and fresh ways here at MVC. If you missed week one, Pastor Brandon Regan began to unpack the vision for our church to be the house where we fill the seats with... people YOU know... who need the hope that is found in JESUS... and the COMMUNITY you’ve found here at Mountain View. If you weren’t able to join us, grab an Orange Soda, watch the service on YouTube and make plans to be here THIS Sunday as we continue in this series, “NEXT!” to imagine what it looks like for MVC to grow.

Pastor Brandon Reed kicks off our new series. This is the series that begins the conversation around what is next at Mountain View. Another way this is asked is, “What is changing at Mountain View” SPOILER ALERT: What is changing? Not a lot…and everything. This is a new season at Mountain View. God has done amazing things and He will continue to do great things! And we are trusting Him for what is coming in these days, weeks, months, and years ahead.

Through this series we have been exploring what it looks like to do life together in community. Over the past weeks we have seen the beauty of God’s design. We’ve seen inescapable truth that it is in relationship with God and each other that we grow to look more like Jesus. This week we will be looking at the beautiful, supernatural way God moves and transforms us through one another. Each of us is a unique expression of God’s image, and our unique gifts and perspectives are vitally important for us to be transformed into the image of Jesus. Your presence matters!

Doing life with others in community is the way God has designed us to live. We were never meant to do life on our own. And we believe that everybody needs somebody in their life to do life with! Our hope in these coming weeks and through our series is that you’d get connected into the community of Mountain View through one of the many small groups already going, or by connecting in one of our new micro community On Campus Small Groups. We were meant to live life together, with others! And there are certain things we just can’t do on our own.

Everybody needs somebody in their life to do life with. We all need community. God never intended us to do life on our own or figure out life’s difficult seasons on our own. Maybe you’ve wanted to find some great friendships and people to walk through life with. Maybe you’ve tried small groups in the past, but just didn’t find the right fit. Maybe you don’t feel like you have time to add ONE MORE THING to your already full schedule. This week, we are kicking off a brand-new series called WE is greater than ME. We are going to explore what authentic relationships look like. Wherever you’re at in your spiritual journey, my prayer is that you would find someone to journey with.

Colossians Series Week 12 | Speaker Brandon Reed | August 20th, 2023

We are wrapping up our time in the letter of Colossians this week, and these 95 verses over the course of 4 chapters have been so life shaping, but Paul hasn’t finished until he signs the letter himself. He writes, “I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand. Remember my chains. Grace be with you.” (Colossians 4:18) But there is a deeply personal connection that he tags to his letter to Colossians. When Paul sent this letter to be read to the church in Colossae, he also had a message for a man named Philemon that is so deeply intertwined in what we need to hear today. We love that our church is home for the wanderer. We are a place of rest for the weary. We pray for and hope expectantly for Jesus to restore all things, and honestly, the restoration of all things can seem like a daunting task that Jesus has invited us into. But what if we told you that the restoration of all things begins in our own homes, in our place of work, on the waves we surf? The restoration of all things begins in the relationships we hold dear. Restoration begins with relationships.
